so blogging

So blogging is an activity that I'm for the first time coming to realize I still don't quite understand. Not quite. I am, of course, joking with myself, because (1) I'm in a slightly different state of mind that I usually am when I blog (v.) and <2> because nothing can be fully "understood". Of course, if nothing can be fully understood, and we speak of understanding and not understanding, then we have our words mapped incorrectly, and none of it really matters anyway. But here, while I'm typing into this box on my computer, these words which I know in some real, visceral way will appear as pixels on other people's screens, I have to admit to myself I'm in the realm of words.

Two words in particular got me sitting here, naked, on my bed at something like 1:54 am, to write in my blog.

I got waylaid. Way laid? Wae lade. Whatever. I got distracted on my way here because when I logged in the first thing I saw was this picture of this guy, with the most beautiful expression of pleased bewilderment on his face, recoiling back from the photographer as if struck, by inspiration, realization, and a wet mop all at the same time. And I'm suddenly struck - I can't help but feel what I assume (spelled p-r-o-j-e-c-t) he's feeling at the same moment, which is a complex neurological storm combined with a kind of wild and tremorous energy creeping through his entire body, an entire seven-sensory experience that is pretty much summed up in the phrase "oh my god, technology is so fucking cool, and people are awesome, and holy shit I'm actually participating in this thing!" (with a few extra holy shits in there, in one form or another).

Anyway, I'm going to do everything I can to get a picture of my entire computer screen, along with, why not, a picture of my own face, so that the more rational of my readers can attempt to emulate the experience, onto the internet, as pixels, hopefully with some simple, easy click of a link or something ... hold on now ... ... um, so I just "uploaded" some images, and I'm not seeing them ... anywhere? .... I'll figure this out. If there is not a link to both of these images, or the images themselves, within this mass of text by the time you finish reading this, you should never read my blog again.

Oh right, those two words. Um, they were more like concepts, each of which takes n < 5 words to describe. One is "MEMORY" and the other is "THE PAST".

Yeah, so I'm going to be lazy here and say that it would be so much cooler to have this conversation with you in person, via da voice, when we're ready for it, than it would be for me to sit here and actually try to pound this thing out, when right now is just not the time for pounding out essays, that I'm going to seriously consider doing that instead. Are we even? Good.

And yes, it's better that you should see my face first, for reasons I can explain later.
